Brian Houshower Tournament

Since 2004, the Brian Houshower Memorial Lacrosse Tournament is hosted every fall by Downingtown West Boys Lacrosse in honor of Brian Houshower, a budding young lacrosse player who tragically died in an automobile accident during his sophomore year in 2003.  The tournament has three goals:

1) Honor the life and memory of Brian Houshower
2) Support the Downingtown West Boys Lacrosse program and
3) Provide a college scholarship to deserving players in Brian's memory.

"These fine young men, year after year, never cease to amaze me. Not by wins and losses, but by their character, humility, and love for each other.  Go West Lax!"

13th Annual Brian Houshower Tournament 2016

Congratulations to our 2016 Champions, Strath Haven! Strath Haven edged out Conestoga in an overtime thriller to take the title for the day.

Mrs. Joan Ferree (Brian Houshower's mother) spoke to the players and families of all teams in attendance. Her words about actions and decisions were especially meaningful on this day to many in attendance. We all thank Mrs. Ferree for speaking to such a large group. Her message is an important one that all should hear.

Thank you to our participating teams:
